Recap / Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron, Chapter 26, "Reunion Over the Pacific"

Go To

The Paladins move in to rescue Nunnally, but does the princess truly want to leave?

  • I Just Shot Marvin in the Face: Suzaku accidentally hits the Avalon when Nonette hit's Yoru hard enough to redirct the Purple Lion's aim.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Though she may be overly blunt about it, C.C. is correct that Shirley will need to come to terms with the fact that, as a Paladin of Voltron, she will have to kill people.
  • Mexican Standoff: Shirley ends up in one with Viletta, much like she did in R1 of Code Geass. It ends when C.C. shoots Viletta In the Back.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Just as was the case in R2 of Code Geass, Lelouch meets Nunnally aboard the Avalon while disguised as Zero and tries to convince her to leave with him while stating that Charles is using her, only for Nunnally to reveal she made a certain choice on her on. This time, though, he is able to convince her to come with him.
    • Shirley ends up in a Mexican Standoff with Viletta, similar to what happened at Port Yokosuka in canon.
  • Undying Loyalty: Despite the mistrust he showed Zen earlier, when Lelouch mentally calls out to her for help, the Black Lion immediately moves to save the Black Paladin, Nunnally, and Sayoko.
  • Wham Shot: The final portion of the chapter reveals that Haggar is on Earth, and has just found Jeremiah.
