Josh and Emily, a young married couple living with their Amicably Divorced buddies (Alex and Bridgette), try to make a quilt for their preschool-aged daughter's family tree project and must contend with a gang of British orphans who live in the slums of the fashion district.
Tropes:
- Adults Dressed as Children: The orphans, who turn out to be old people dressed as British street urchins.
- Bilingual Bonus: Bird Josh speaks Spanish, but all he can say is:
- Bird Josh: Gringo cabrón. (Dumbass Whiteboy.)
- Becomes a Brick Joke when Emily and Josh rush to school from their house and Pearle says, "Dumbass white people" (which is translated as "Gringos cabróns" in the subtitles).
- Mistaken for Cheating:Josh: I never had time to get the thread. Although, it did took longer than I thought to get that BJ.Emily: (slaps Josh across the face) WHAT?!Josh: Bird Josh!
- Off with His Head!: What happens to Bird Josh as he comes to the rescue for his master.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Scrudd when he collides with a mailbox during the climax.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Because the producers wanted J.G. Quintel to cut the episode down to 11 minutes from its original 22-minute length, the whole subplot where Bridgette and Alex babysit Candice has been reduced to a few scenes, one of which included a sequence where Alex gets stuck in the broken vent that was shown during the episode's cold open where Candice's skate stunt caused it.
