Call-Back: During his travels in search of more information regarding the Infinite Corridor, Saint-Germain strikes up a conversation with a regular at a certain tavern discussing sexual congress with livestock.
Establishing Character Moment: When we first see Greta, she's holding her own against night creatures. Then, when she speaks with Alucard, she plainly tells him that she doesn't like or trust him because he's half-vampire (and reeks of alcohol) but that he's also the best solution she could think of for her and the village of Danesti's survival. She demands that he either commit to saving the people of the village, no matter what it takes or how long, or go right back where he came from. This establishes her as someone who is forward, pragmatic, tough, and takes no bullshit.
Face–Heel Turn: It turns out that after he made it to the Infinite Corridor, Saint Germain was convinced by an alchemist there that he needed to let go of his morals if he wanted to control the Corridor and find the love of his life, having threatened and killed people before he made his way to Danesti.
He's Back!: Alucard returns in fine form protecting the people of Danesti after spending the last season watching over his castle and this season drunk and depressed.
