After a series of risky rescues that leave him looking unjustly irresponsible, Milo is in damage control mode as he tries to regain parental approval by clearing himself of the unfair charges.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Call-Back: Milo asks his mom what is the punishment is going to be after admitting that he wrecks the neighbor's yard, he hopes that the punishment will have nothing to do with eating liver for dinner ever again, referring to "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Liver" where Milo, to his disgust, has to try to eat his liver for dinner in order to have cake for dessert.
  • Caught on Tape: Owen now lets Milo inside so he can show off the evidence of the crime on tape. It shows Milo helping Ruth to retrieve her cat Gladys back and once he climbs over the fence to retrieve her, part of his cape tears off, proving that he didn't dug up the neighbor's yard and wrecking it, it was actually crossing guard's dog that did it.
  • Clear My Name: Milo was accused of being a troublemaker after digging up the neighbor's yard and wrecking it, after the crossing guard finds a piece of his torn cape in the neighbor's fence. It was then revealed that he indeed admitted that he actually did dug up the yard rather than the crossing guard's dog doing that, causing him to fix up the yard as his punishment.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Owen calls Lizbeth to tell that Milo is innocent and he has prove of it. When Milo arrives at Owen's, the security system from his house denies him to enter as Owen isn't allowed to hang out with troublemakers, even though he is framed and has the evidence on tape.
    • To try to get inside to Owen's to get the tape, Milo uses his Only-Child Simulator Kit to trick and distract Owen's overprotective mom from using a dangerous skateboard down the hill. Although it lures her out, he discovers that all of the windows and doors has been locked up.
    • Milo then saw that one of the doors isn't completely closed on the rooftop, so Milo uses his trampoline to try to get to the door even though it could be a trick. It turns out it was as once he jumps to a pipe connected near the door, the alarm sets off which then causes the pipe it to break and fall over. Once Milo's mom finds out that he was a troublemaker, although he isn't actually one, he gets grounded.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Thrasher first appeared during the protest scene before being fully introduced in the very next segment.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Milo uses his "Bird Brain" as since the crossing guard saw knows what exactly happened, he has to admit it. He admitted that he actually did dug up the yard and wrecking it rather than the crossing guard's dog doing it which prevented the dog from being sent away as a result of doing it. Although he apologizes for his actions and decided to change his ways from now on, he still has to fix up the yard as his punishment, which he doesn't mind.
  • "Wanted!" Poster: A wanted poster of Captain Flamingo was put up by the crossing guard as he is accused of being a troublemaker after wrecking the neighbor's yard.
  • Waving Signs Around: Since Milo got grounded from being a troublemaker, Lizbeth and the other kids protest to let the Flamingo go by holding up signs of Captain Flamingo's symbol, to demand his release from being grounded or else they will go on strike.
  • You Are Grounded!: Milo gets grounded after his mom finds out that her son was a troublemaker after digging up and wrecking the neighbor's yard. He was then punished by fixing the yard up, which he doesn't mind.

Face the Music

Milo befriends Thrasher, a guitar playing big kid, who follows him around adding a musical soundtrack to the Captain's heroics. When Rutger loses his new eye glasses, Milo jumps to his rescue, with Lizbeth and Thrasher in tow, and the accompanying guitar music becomes something even he wasn't expecting. And now he has to figure out how to pull the plug on Thrasher's amp as well as finding Rutger's glasses!

Tropes in this episode:

  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Milo uses his suction cups to climb over the roof to try the find Rutger's missing glasses. He then finds a shiny thing in the pool, but once he retrieves the object, it turns out it was just Owen's missing retainer that he finds instead.
    • Rutger mentioned that he might've left his glasses in the library, which Milo then goes to find it. Although he eventually finds it, a woman gets distracted after hearing the music that Thrasher is playing in the background and takes Rutger's glasses, which she then leaves to watch a ballet in the auditorium.
    • Milo decided to have Thrasher to play his guitar with the orchestra during the play (as him playing the guitar in the library caused him, Milo and Lizbeth to get kicked out) as the only way for him to play while they're playing, is for him to be in the ballet so he uses spring-loaded ballet slippers to start dancing with the dancers, impressing the audience. Eventually after the woman takes off Rutger's glasses to clean it, he then uses his extendo-grabber to retrieve it, solving Rutger's problem. The only problem is that Thrasher decided to set the volume to his guitar to maximum high, stringing a chord that is so loud, it caused a power outage to happen.
  • Dropped Glasses: Rutger calls the Captain to help after he loses his glasses and needs to look for it.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: To calm down the panicking audience after Thrasher strung a loud chord from his guitar that caused a power outage, Milo uses his "Bird Brain" to take it slow and easy in a emergency. He gives Thrasher a more quieter guitar to play it slow and easy, calming the audience down, and used their lighters and cellphones to make the hall lit up again.
  • Faint in Shock: The last time Rutger loses his expensive glasses, his parents and his doctor fainted over the Shockingly Expensive Bill for the glasses.
  • Power Outage Plot: The last half of the episode is this after Thrasher strung a loud chord with his guitar in the hall, causing a power outage to happen.
  • Stock Footage: Footage of Milo getting stuck in a tree after his sneakers gets tangled from "New Bird on the Block" was reused briefly in the opening.
