- Fate Worse than Death: When Sasha meets up with Vera, the latter suggests killing Ainsley. Sasha wants to do something far worse, so Vera suggests feeding her the family pet. Sasha can think of even worse than that.
- Funny Background Event: As David is reading the program, a man sitting behind him suddenly grows stiff, then goes limp. Later, we see Vera smile innocently and push the dead guy aside.
- Old Shame: Sasha tries to invoke this on Ainsley, but subverted in that Ainsley loves and embraces her old braces-wearing flute-playing self.
