- Exploding Closet: The arc ends with Calvin trying to shove all of his junk into the closet to make his room look clean. Calvin's mom checks the closet, however, and gets hit with an avalanche of toys on opening the door.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: Calvin tries to get out of cleaning his room, but fails, so he dons his Stupendous Man costume and tries again. His mom is unamused, and intimidates Calvin into pretending that he's been hypnotized into doing her bidding and goes back upstairs.
- Lampshade Hanging: Calvin complains about how cleaning his room is going to take all day. Hobbes points out that there's no way it should take that long to clean his room, and Calvin acknowledges that the actual issue is how long he's going to spend complaining about having to do it first.
