The Head of the Goat
A father is in his car, ready to take his sons out fishing. The car explodes. Soon after, FBI agents barge into the home of a mother and her young son. Agents grill her, and she protests that she doesn’t know where her husband is or what he did. TAC gets assigned to defend the young mother from charges of aiding and abetting her husband’s crime. We learn that she had endured her husband’s violence and had no control over his actions.

- Evil Reactionary: The car bomber belongs to online terrorist group that wants to take America back to 1776.
- External Combustion: The episode opens with a car bombing.
- FBI Agent: The men who arrest the defendant, interrogate her, and testify against her.
- Scapegoat: The defendant is blamed for her husband’s action. The episode’s title may allude to the Bible passage (Leviticus 16:21–22) describing a priest symbolically placing sins on a goat’s head.
