The body of a failed model is found entwined in a beaver dam, and the man's numerous sperm donations (his main source of income) lead to numerous suspects who may have felt cheated by his falsified records. Meanwhile, Brennan's feud with fellow author Tess Brown (Nora Dunn) leads to her trying to learn more social niceties.

- Not Really a Birth Scene: Hodgins is host to a larvae in his neck, which eventually needs to come out... screaming, controlled breathing, and all. Earlier in the episode, Wendell even asked if he needed to boil some water. The whole thing played out like a pregnancy.
