Recap / BoBoiBoy S1 E12 "Getting A Little Windy In Here"

Go To

The heroes look upon the new BoBoiBoy Cyclone in fear. Ochobot notes that he has similar elevated power levels to BoBoiBoy Thunderstorm. Cyclone proclaims that he'll force everyone to eat Yaya's cookies, but is interrupted by a blast from behind by Super Probe. Adu Du proceeds to fire more missiles at him and supposes him to be done for, but Cyclone suddenly reappears next to Adu Du. He inserts cyclone spheres into Probe, causing the bad guys to soar uncontrollably. When Probe restablises himself in mid-air, Cyclone shoves Yaya's biscuits into Adu Du's mouth. Adu Du has a brief freak out before commanding Probe to retreat, and Cyclone is about to chase them until the other two elementals call him to stop since they have to merge back.

BoBoiBoy Cyclone laughs at the notion of remerging with two weaklings like them. This angers BoBoiBoy Lightning, who turns into BoBoiBoy Thunderstorm and proceeds to duel BoBoiBoy Cyclone. Cyclone is as fast as he is and swiftly gains the upper hand, but Thunderstorm calls out to BoBoiBoy Earth in time to give the cue to trap Cyclone in slabs of earth. Ochobot then shows Cyclone the finale of "A Knapsack of Roses" where Azroy reunites with Sasha, who turns out to be his pet cat. After crying over their tearful reunion, Cyclone returns to normal. Ochobot explains his plan to make Cyclone sad to counteract the extreme happiness the biscuits gave him.

On the alien spaceship, Adu Du is suddenly overconcerned for Probe, asking if he is alright. Probe recalls that Adu Du was force-fed Yaya's cookies earlier and has him hospitalized in the ship's sickbay. After Adu Du wakes up, he demands that they come up with a new plan to defeat BoBoiBoy. Probe suggests they call the General for assistance, but gets a mug thrown at him. Adu Du reminds that they are keeping their cocoa operation on Earth under wraps so he could have all the glory and power for himself. Computer instead suggests they contact the illegal arms dealer Bago Go to get upgrades, to which Adu Du agrees.

Meanwhile, the three BoBoiBoy elementals try out their new upgraded forms, but Earth still doesn't have one. Despite Gopal's attempts at instilling an emotion to help Earth get an upgraded form like Thunderstorm and Cyclone, Earth is only disappointed that he doesn't have a power upgrade. Tok Aba suggests that he finds it another time, as BoBoiBoy has to pack his bags. Gopal is astounded to learn that BoBoiBoy is already going home.

Bago Go arrives inside Adu Du's spaceship via teleporter. Adu Du is skeptical of the arms dealer because of the grand prices of his products, but Bago Go makes himself sound convincing with "discounts" and the possibility of negotiation. When after all that, a weapon still has the price of 50 million and 50 cents, Adu Du faints. When he gets up, Adu Du is perplexed to find himself, Probe and Computer outside the spaceship, which is nowhere to be found. Probe explains that he sold their spaceship for an electric spatula, much to Adu Du's rage. However, as the 10th buyer of the spatula, Probe got a Mukalakus destroyer robot for free, which towers over them in the alleyway.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Chekhov's Gun: The melodramatic Show Within a Show "Knapsack of Roses" which gave Adu Du the idea of concocting an emotion-manipulating chemical in the previous episode turns out to be what brings BoBoiBoy Cyclone's emotions back to normal.
  • Frying Pan of Doom: Brought back for laughs by Gopal, who suggests making BoBoiBoy Earth unlock his upgrade through feeling pain. Earth contests that pain isn't an emotion, but is interrupted mid-sentence by Gopal hitting the back of his head with a frying pan, causing BoBoiBoy Earth to fall over with a Cranial Eruption through his hat.
  • Space "X": Computer reminds Adu Du that they can't reveal their cocoa operation to Bago Go should other aliens come looking, so Adu Du's excuse for wanting to buy a space cannon is to shoot space squirrels.
  • Umpteenth Customer: Selling the spaceship only gives Probe enough money to buy an electric spatula, but because he's the 10th buyer of it, Bago Go throws in a Mukalakus destroyer robot for free (though he also mentions that he needs extra storage space).
