Bluey tells her doll, Polly, that Stripe, Trixie, and her cousins are coming over, and the women will play hockey while the men and kids will play horsey. They arrive, and Chilli has Bluey put Polly away lest the cousins drool on her/it. However, Bluey drops the doll when Bandit hugs her. Stripe and his family enter, and unfortunately Socks chews on Polly. The women leave, while the guys want to watch cricket, but the girls want to play horsey.

Outside, the Heeler brothers act as the horses, with Bluey leading them and Bingo and Muffin riding on their respective fathers. Muffin decides Stripe needs more glitter on him, so Bluey goes to get some, only to find Socks chewing on Polly to her dismay.

The guys, Bingo, and Muffin come over to help, but Socks threatens to bite anyone who takes Polly. The other girls decide to distract Socks from Polly by having her play horsey with them, and they decide to have the "horses" get "married".

So, Bluey, Bingo, and Muffin hold a play wedding, complete with Bandit in a top hat and Stripe in drag, but Socks still doesn't let go of Polly. When the men try to speak, Muffin yells at them because "horses can't talk", and then she and Bluey demand that they say, "I do" in "horsey talk".

Stripe then runs away, although he still pretends to be a horse while doing so. The girls (except Socks, who is still chewing on Polly) chase after him, while he tries to watch cricket and then neighs at Socks. She drops Polly, Muffin and Bingo jump on him, and Bluey gets Polly back. Then, the girls bring Stripe back and finish the play wedding.

When the ladies come back, they are bemused to hear Bingo declare that "Uncle Stripe married Dad".

Tropes:

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal:
    • Muffin arrives in flip-flops, which she shows to Chilli.
    • During the play wedding, Bandit wears a top hat and a bow tie, Stripe wears a wedding veil, and Bingo wears a goofy headband.
  • Alliterative Name: Bluey's toy is named Polly Puppy.
  • Buffy Speak: Muffin demands the dads say, "I do" in "horsey talk".
  • The Compliance Game: Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and the fathers play the horse wedding game in order to get Socks to join in and therefore let go of Polly.
  • Cross-Cast Role: In-Universe — the male Stripe is cast as a mare in the game.
  • Furry Reminder:
    • Socks acts the most like a puppy, being the youngest and what-not. She likes to chew on Bluey's Polly Puppy just like a real dog would any plush toy left lying about.
    • Enforced during the horse wedding as Muffin aggressively reminds the two dads that they have to neigh and act like real horses.
  • Incestuous Casting: In-Universe — the brothers Stripe and Bandit are cast as a married couple.
  • Meaningful Name: Stripe's character is named Sparkles because "she" has glitter in "her" fur.
  • Noodle Incident: When Chilli and Trixie return, Trixie makes an offhand remark about the need to wear mouth guards while playing hockey. This is not elaborated on.
  • Runaway Bride: As part of the pretend horse wedding, Sparkles (played by Stripe) pretends to run away from the altar leading to the children to have to go after the bride.
  • The Snack Is More Interesting: Well, plush in this case. The entire episode is spent trying to attract Socks' attention long enough for her to stop chewing on Polly Puppy so Bluey can retrieve it.
  • Spanner in the Works: When Bluey was about to put Polly Puppy away, Bandit shows up and distracts her by pretending to munch on her like a watermelon. Stripes non-verbally tears into his brother for this when the main conflict starts.
  • Species Surname: Bluey's doll is named Polly Puppy.
  • Sports Dad: Bandit's first suggestion for their family activity is to go on the couch and watch cricket. Later, while pretending to be a Runaway Bride, Stripe is shown watching the game on tv.
  • Verbal Backspace: Bandit tells Bluey that she really ought to have put Polly Puppy away if she didn't want Socks to get ahold of her. Bluey replies that was was putting Polly away, until Bandit interrupted and distracted her. Bandit decides there's no use "playing the blame game".
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: As part of the girls' game to have the horsies "marry", Stripe (who is playing Sparkles) is dressed up in a wedding veil.
