Bandit picks Bingo up from kindergarten, where she reveals that it's her turn to take home a puppet named Bob Bilby. At home, Bluey reveals that the Heelers need to take photos of Bob in different places and stick them in a scrapbook, and they look through the scrapbook.

Bluey photographs Bingo holding Bob while riding Bandit, who's pretending to be a cow. Then, Chilli photographs the girls "showing" Bob a game on Bluey's tablet. In the car, the girls watch cartoons on said tablet and Chilli photographs them again, then at the mall, Bandit photographs all three Heeler ladies watching the display televisions with Bob.

When they get home, the girls watch more cartoons and Chilli photographs them, though the parents want the girls to do something different. Chilli puts the photos in the book, but she and the girls are disappointed that most of them involve Bob watching cartoons, and Bingo even walks off crying.

The rest of the family go outside to try to console Bingo, who thinks Bob must have had a boring weekend. To make up for it, the Heelers go on a bike ride to the park and take photos of Bob there. On Monday, Bingo tells her class about her weekend.

Tropes:

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: The Heeler ladies wear bike helmets while biking.
  • Alliterative Name: The puppet's name is Bob Bilby.
  • Brutal Honesty: When Bingo comes to the sobering conclusion that Bob Bilby's time watching cartoon with the Heeler sisters is the most boring weekend he's ever had, Chilli tries to comfort her daughter that's not true. Bluey, on the other hand, doesn't sugar coat that, out of all the kids he's spent a weekend with, this is indeed the most dull weekend he's had thus far.
  • Companion Cube: Justified — the Heeler sisters talk to and about Bob like he's a living being, but that's common among kids with puppets.
  • Continuity Nod: During the family bike ride, we see Bluey riding her bike without training wheels, something she was trying to do in the previous episode.
  • Furry Reminder: One of Bluey's classmates is seen with tongue hanging out, then later Missy is seen wagging her tail.
  • The Glomp: When Bandit comes to pick Bingo up, she hugs him powerfully.
  • Good-Times Montage: As opposed to the first half of the weekend spent watching cartoons, the second half of the weekend is spent doing actually exciting activities. The montage consists of lively activities such as bicycle rides, visits to the playground, and even a fireworks show.
  • Ignored Epiphany: Chili and Bandit tried their best to encourage their daughters to do something with Bob Bilby other than watch cartoons. But every time they do, Bluey and Bingo insist on watching cartoons, and in turn, the parents tiredly relent.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Throughout the first half of their weekend, Bluey and Bingo are insistent that Bob Bilby should watch cartoons. But once their parents show them the photos of all the things they did, they can't help but feel that all they did with Bob Bilby was watch cartoons. Bingo is saddened that she did Bob Bilby a disservice by giving him a boring weekend with them, and will not want to spend time with them.
  • Not So Above It All: Throughout the episode, every time the girls favor watching something on the tablet with Bob instead of doing something, Chili makes it a point to take a picture of the "activity". Later, while grocery shopping, the kids are watching cartoons with Bob in the electronics section. ...And Chili is also watching sports on another television set. To this, Bandit takes a picture of the two parties watching television.
  • Single Tear: Bingo cries one tear when she's disappointed at the photos being mostly of Bob watching cartoons.
  • Speak in Unison: The girls chant, "Cartoons!" in unison in the car.
  • Species Surname: The puppet is named Bob Bilby.
  • Symbolism: After Bingo realizes that the first half of their day has been wasted watching cartoons, we cut to Bob Bilby lying next to a tablet. The manner in which he's drooped next to one makes it look like he's bored whilst doing more of the same thing his hosts have been doing: watching cartoons.
