"Isn't anyone gonna mention the SALADS!"
Bandit is setting up a BBQ, with Bluey copying him. Then, Chilli comes out, with some visitors, and Bingo, who has a chair. She puts two plates down, and Bluey serves pretend sausages to two little girls. While Bingo sits in her chair, which she calls her "relaxing chair", to relax, one of the visiting girls sees some salad and demands it.

Bluey, revealing the girl's name to be Muffin, puts Bingo in charge of the salad. Bingo swipes Bandit's hat and uses it as a salad bowl, but Muffin demands capsicum salad, with green capsicums for her sister (whose name is revealed to be Socks).

Bingo uses some leaves as pretend capsicum (after a struggle when one plant has thorns and another has a bug), but Bluey asks for yellow capsicum. Bingo sees some yellow flowers in a wall planter, but they're too high for her to reach, so she borrows a bench.

She's about to climb on it, but Chilli stops her, claiming it isn't safe, and takes away the bench. Bingo knocks some flowers down with a tennis ball, puts them in Muffin and Socks's "bowl", and sits back in the chair. Then, Muffin wants some red capsicum, but the only red plant nearby is a tree with high-up red flowers.

Bingo uses a rake to knock the flowers down (also knocking down seed pods) and puts them in the hat, but Muffin demands salad dressing upon seeing Chilli with some. Bingo makes some out of mud, but the hose she uses goes out of control.

Bingo gives Muffin and Socks the "dressing", then is made to mop up the mud, but finally she gets to sit in her chair. Then, the dinner gets made and the Heelers all eat together.

Tropes:

  • Bratty Food Demand: Muffin says, "We have to have salad with our barbeque!" and pounds the table.
  • Covered in Mud: Happens to Bingo when she tries to turn on the hose to make more mud, and it starts spraying water everywhere. In her attempt to turn the hose off, she slips and falls in the mud.
  • Cultural Translation: In the American version of the episode, the word "capsicum" is replaced with "pepper."
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: How Bingo feels, after everything she went through to make the pretend salad and everyone (at first) only mentions how good Bandit's sausages look.
Bingo: Isn't anyone going to mention the salads?!
  • Establishing Character Moment: Muffin's wild personality is shown in her first scene where she waves her arms and yells, "I love sausages!".
  • Extreme Doormat: Bingo just wants to sit down and relax, but her cousin Muffin keeps demanding that she get up and gather ingredients for their pretend salad. Every time, Bingo does what she wants.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Bingo spends the better part of the episode trying to please her cousins in their make-believe barbeque. At the end, Chili is the first to say that Bingo now has the leisure to do what she wanted to do in the first place, relax.
  • Frothy Mugs of Water: Averted—Bandit and Stripe are drinking something that appears to be beer, although it's not referred to as such.
  • Furry Reminder: Socks is the youngest of the Heeler children, roughly equivalent to a baby or toddler, and acts like a real puppy. She walks and sits on all fours, barks, and howls.
  • Joke of the Butt: The hose goes wild and sprays Bingo's behind, causing her to laugh.
    Bingo: It's tickling my bottom!
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Bingo screams at a bug despite usually being a Friend to Bugs.
  • Running Gag: Bandit's beer can being knocked out of his paw. Even when he gets a water bottle instead, when Muffin tells Bingo to get "salad dressing", she swipes it and mixes it with mud to make the stuff.
  • Running on All Fours: Socks runs on all fours, as opposed to the older children and adults who walk on two legs.
  • Say My Name: Bandit yells, "Bingo!" when she accidentally knocks his beer can out of his hand.
  • Slapstick:
    • Bandit gets his beer can knocked out of his hand.
    • Stripe gets sprayed with the hose.
  • Stock Animal Diet: The Heelers eat sausages.
