  • Date First Aired: 25/02/2016

Dorien's book has become extremely popular in several locations in the Pacific Rim, so she has decided to buy a new car. As they're taking it home, however, they almost crash into Tracey, who is teaching Travis how to drive. Now when one says teaching Travis how to drive, one means "Tracey driving for Travis because she doesn't think it's safe for him to take over" so Dorien decides to give him lessons behind Tracey's back. Unfortunately, it doesn't end well, so Dorien is forced to present her invalid license. It's from there that the sisters realize that she's probably almost 70 now. They thus decide to throw her a birthday party, even though Dorien doesn't feel like celebrating.

Soon, however, Dorien comes around to the idea of a party, but the girls' attempts are a bit lackluster - the only guests there are the sisters, Travis, and Garth, the gifts are terrible, and it's not long before Dorien is arrested when she fails to produce her driving license. Luckily, it's all a front for the real party. In spite of this, Dorien has a complicated reaction to it, telling the sisters that it's getting harder to maintain her image of beauty and that she doesn't want to go to a care home, but the sisters tell her that they will look after her and they have a lovely party.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Birthday Episode: The sisters realize that Dorien is almost 70 and host a birthday party for her.
  • Drives Like Crazy:
    • Dorien manages to almost collide with Tracey and Travis' car driving her new car home.
    • Travis' attempts to drive end with him driving down a bus lane and being stopped by a policeman.
  • Driving Test Smashers: Travis' driving lesson, already hindered by the fact that Tracey insisted on driving instead, almost ends in tragedy when Dorien and Sharon almost crash into their car. Dorien later gives him a lesson, but he ends up driving down a bus lane instead.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: In-Universe, the reason Dorien can afford an expensive car now is that her book has become extremely popular in Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.
  • Gift-Giving Gaffe: Dorien is a bit disappointed with the gifts she gets from the sisters - namely a zimmer frame, a "Baby on Board" style sign with the words "Elderly Driver" on it, and incontinence pads. Luckily, it's all just a front.
  • One-Shot Character: David Montgomery.
  • Series Continuity Error: Sharon and Tracey genuinely ponder whether Dorien has had a birthday since they've known her and have no idea what date it is, even though "Nuptials" had the sisters finding it out during Garth's wedding.
  • Shirtless Scene: David is shirtless at Dorien's Surprise Party, showing off a strong-looking upper body.
  • Stripper/Cop Confusion: When Policeman David Montgomery comes to the girls' household, Dorien mistakes him to be a strippogram and begins stripping him, much to David's annoyance.
  • Surprise Party: The girls manage to co-operate with Barry Farmer on preparing a surprise party for Dorien, with the smaller party that they host beforehand simply being a front.
  • Titled After the Song: To the Elton John song "Forever Young".
  • Wiki Vandal: Sharon fiddled with Dorien's entry on Wikipedia so that it claims that she is a decade older than she actually is. Before that though, the page claimed that her age was 37, making Sharon think that Dorien got to the page before she did.
