Jessi and Nick let go of their hangups after Jessi breaks into her dad's private stash. Meanwhile, Andrew's relationship with Lola goes sour.

- Jerkass Has a Point: The Shame Wizard is right in that it's wrong for Andrew to leave Lola after hearing how she only has frozen food to thaw in the sink to eat.

- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: In the opening flashback, Greg and Shannon see The Truman Show and remark on how rough it'd be to learn you were just a character in a television show.
- Marijuana Is LSD: Jessi peer pressures Nick into trying some of her father's edibles with her. Jessi is less severely affected than Nick, but she shares a hallucination with him that their arms have merged and that they can communicate telepathically. People around them just see them holding hands and talking to each other. Nick goes on to have several other very vivid hallucinations.
- Overly Long Gag: Connie gives more synonyms for weed than Jessi wants to hear, to the point that she asks Connie to stop.
- Take That!: Jessi and Nick comment on how much they miss when Obama was president.
- Wham Episode: Greg is finally divorced by Shannon and forced to leave his house after Jessi’s exposure to his drugs is revealed, and the Shame Wizard takes to opportunity to break her down.
