The Master (the John Simm version) claims to have finally achieved the victory of conquering the universe. He invites several of his past personas to celebrate his achievement. But when an uninvited Missy crashes the party, she soon realizes the truth:

- Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Um...it's the Master. Of course, he tries to double-cross himself.
- Eldritch Abomination: The Saxon Master’s tampering with time and attempt to heal his dying body resulted in a wave of entropy being unleashed upon the universe. The War Master would later reveal this wave is their future self, in their final incarnation.
- The Reveal: As Missy predicted, this is all a trick by the Saxon Master to steal the life force of his past selves.
