Brandon gets a visit from his ex-girlfriend, Sheryl, from Minneapolis. They have sex, which is Brandon's first time, but afterwards he learns that it wasn't hers and gets angry with her for not telling him. He's also jealous that she flirts with rich Dylan, and ends up punching Dylan, who did not flirt with Sheryl. Brandon finds out that Sheryl actually ran away from home and her parents don't know where she is. He also learns that Sheryl wasn't happy at home when they were together in Minneapolis and realises they didn't really know each other. Sheryl's parents get her and they part ways. Brandon apologises to Dylan, who forgives him. Meanwhile, Brenda has a crush on her math teacher, who compliments her on her school work. He asks Brenda to babysit for his kids and the smitten Brenda agrees. She has Kelly and Donna over so they can snoop, but realises that the kids are a handful and Brody's wife talks down to him. Brenda's crush evaporates after this domestic display.
