  • Armor-Piercing Response: Rook unwittingly gives one to Ben while trying to learn more about him at the beginning of the episode.
Rook: I did notice one omission in your files that peaked my curiosity.
Ben: Ask me anything. I'm an open book.
    Rook: Tell me about Feedback.
Ben: (eyes widen in shock before he suddenly grows serious, looking away) That book's closed
  • Big "NO!": 11-year-old Ben lets out one when Malware destroys Feedback right in front of him.
  • Break the Haughty: Ben goes through this after Malware removes Feedback and destroys the transformation right in front of him. Beforehand, Ben used the form so much that he smugly believed he can depend on it solely, even going so far as to turn into Feedback and going against Gwen’s advice just to prove a point. Ben quickly pays for his arrogance when Malware catches him off-guard and destroys the transformation in front of him.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Ben playing favorites on his alien forms is rare, but Feedback happens to be the one he uses a lot in this series' flashbacks. However, Azmuth warned him that his overdependence on the just one form can mess up his reliance on the others, as if being addicted to a particular drug or medication.
  • Forced to Watch: Poor Ben can do nothing but helplessly watch as Malware disintegrates Feedback.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Dr. Psychobos is undone by Azmuth hacking his Nemetrix and using it to turn Khyber’s dog into the Cerebrocrustacean’s natural predator.
  • Karma Houdini: Kyber leaves with the Nemetrix, leaving his dog behind.
  • My Greatest Failure: It's implied that Ben sees losing Feedback as this.
Ben: (after telling Rook the whole story) That's what happened to Feedback. And it was all my fault. Happy now?
Rook: I am sorry, Ben. I did not realize…
Ben: Just forget it, alright? I wish I could
  • Kick the Dog: Malware rips Feedback out of the Omnitrix and destroys him in front of Ben, just because he knows that he is Ben's favorite transformation.
  • The Reveal: We finally learn why Ben doesn't use Feedback during present day in the series; it's because thanks to (what was originally assumed to be) his final confrontation with Malware when he was 11, he doesn't have him anymore.
  • Staging an Intervention: Gwen, Max, and Azmuth essentially tried to have an intervention with Ben about his overreliance on using Feedback, with Feeback essentially serving as a G-Rated Drug. Ben just gets mad when he thinks they are saying not to use Feedback anymore at all and storms out, but it is rendered moot shortly afterwards when Ben loses access to Feedback entirely.
  • Tempting Fate: As the Galvan docent says that Omnivoracious isn’t a problem to Galvans anymore, Khyber and Dr. Psychobos enter and use the skeleton to add its DNA to the Nemetrix, allowing the dog to become an Omnivoracious.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Dr. Psychobos, why would you give an animal the ability to turn into a creature that could kill you?
  • Trauma Button: Mentioning Feedback is this to Ben. The moment Rook asks about him, Ben becomes very closed off and tries to change the subject.
  • Wham Episode: It's revealed that Malware ripped Feedback out of the Omnitrix and destroyed him when Ben was 11 years old, showing that Malware can do so much more with the Omnitrix than previously thought, and justifying Ben's fear of him. In addition to that, Galvan B is destroyed, and it turns out Dr. Psychobos intends to exterminate the Galvan.
  • Wham Line: When Ben is determined to go after Malware, Azmuth gives him this warning.
Azmuth: Slow down, Ben. You don't want a repeat of what happened to Feedback.
