Manny and Helen prepare to catch some aliens.
Manny and Helen are a team of two alien hybrids, who recently lost their leader, Pierce, but continue to fight and kill any alien they come across with a disintegrator ray (which is in reality a Null Void projector). When they come across the main trio, they are determined to kill them.- A Day in the Limelight: The focus is on Manny and Helen, who too are fighting against the DNAliens, but have a different way of doing it.
- Badass in Distress: Kevin gets captured by Helen and Manny.
- Continuity Cavalcade: The list of aliens that have been “disintegrated” are of the same species as Ben’s original lineup from the previous series, even using modified versions of their models.
- Grail in the Garbage: Manny and Helen’s disintegrator is actually an antiquated Null Void Projector.
- Ironic Echo: When Helen says to Manny that he saved him from a fight they couldn't have won, he says "Pierce would have done it". At the end of the episode, when they have to rescue the innocent aliens they have captured, Helen says "Pierce would have done it".
- Noodle Incident:
- Pierce was somehow sucked into the Null Void and assumed dead by Manny and Helen due to them mistaking the projector for a disintegrator ray. The exact event of how this happened is never explained, with Helen only alluding that it happened because it was the "one time [they] weren't careful".

Word of God indicated that Kevin’s comment “I taught him that” when Ben escapes the Null Void’s pull was meant to allude that he taught Ben the method he used to escape the Null Void and return to Earth.
- Only Sane Man: Ben serves as this for everyone else towards the end, with Kevin and Manny and Gwen and Helen arguing with each other and throwing threats at each other, Ben yells at them all to knock it off.
- Poor Communication Kills: Despite fighting for the same cause, Manny and Helen have no idea Ben, Gwen and Kevin are also fighting against the DNAliens, which causes the conflict of the episode. At the end, it gets explained to them.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Manny is very hot-headed and loves to fight directly, while Helen is more thorough and thinks a lot more.
