- Ax-Crazy: Junko effortlessly demonstrates that she's this by leaving a bomb in a taxi and then trying to kill Mukuro numerous times.
- Brains and Brawn: Junko is the brains, and Mukuro is the brawn.
- Establishing Character Moment: Junko's first appearance sees her bomb a taxi and break the fourth wall by introducing herself to the viewers.
- Eye Awaken: Izuru at the end of the episode.
- The Farmer and the Viper: How does Junko thank a man who drives her to an airport near Tokyo in his taxi? She leaves behind a bomb in said taxi, ensuring his death.
- For the Evulz: It's clear that this is the true driving force behind everything Junko does, which ranges from bombing taxis to plotting to plunge the world into despair.
- Fourth Wall Psych: Right after Mukuro appears, Junko's ominous narration begins describing her as the screen goes into a letterbox format. Then she looks up at Junko and asks why she's talking like that.
- Knight of Cerebus: Junko, Mukuro, and Izuru are all present in time for them to play their roles in setting up what's to come.
- Mad Bomber: Junko destroys a taxi with a bomb and then tries using a grenade to murder Mukuro. Enough said.
- Second Episode Introduction: More like fifth episode introduction, as although they're respectively the Big Bad and The Dragon of Despair Arc, Junko and Mukuro didn't show up until this episode.
