Völcker and MaLu put their plan to assassinate Wendt into action, but MaLu has a last-minute change of heart. A suicidal Böhm receives an offer from the Armenian's fixer. Gereon, Gräf, Henning and Czerwinski welcome the Ringvereine leaders to the Homicide office so that they can come to a peace agreement, but after they leave the gangsters alone, the Armenian bursts out of a seemingly empty file closet with a tommy gun and machine guns them all.
Tropes:
- Extended Disarming: Implied when the cops ask Bob to hand over his weapons when he arrives at the peace conference, and he opens his coat to reveal that it's filled with machetes. There's then a quick cut to all the knives in the weapons box.
- High-Heel–Face Turn: MaLu is a Communist who has been assigned by her superior, Völcker, to set up Wendt to be assassinated on a hunting trip. But she's fallen in love with Wendt and can't go through with it, and at the last second she turns him away from the bullet.
- The Purge: The Armenian's suggestion that Gereon arrange a Ringvereine peace conference turns out to be so that he can kill all the other gang leaders and their senior people.
- Taking the Bullet: At the last second, MaLu jumps in front of Wendt and takes the bullet for him.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The Armenian shoots his tool Fuchs along with all the other gangsters.
