Captain Fishman: Monarc's first act of heroism is when he akumatizes a kid who fell into the river into a fish person so that he could swim himself to safety.
The Empath: Marc reveals that his miraculous has given him a passive form of this.
Internal Reveal: While he's forbidden from given any more details, Nooroo reveals to the team that Catalyst and Mayura were the same person. He also reveals that Hawk Moth akumatized himself at one point, but he doesn't elaborate which akuma.
Monarc overcompensates trying not to make Adrien into a supervillain with his power and turns him into Archangel.
Monarc: I... may have gone a little too far in trying to make him not a supervillain.
Not the Intended Use: Nooroo reveals that Hawk Moth needed to breed his own collection of butterflies to make akumas because Nooroo wouldn't let him use his power willingly. In Marc's case, he can produce akumas, or "fairies" as he renames them, from raw magic power.
Shout-Out: Archangel demonstrates his power by summoning an owl, which he names "Owlfred", and has it hoot the opening theme to The Flintstones.
Useless Superpowers: As part of the test, all Monarch could think of in terms of bestowing superpowers is giving Archangel the ability to attract owls and make them sing.
