With help from the information given to him by Hunter, King T'Challa begins investigating the Shadow Council, but in the course of doing so encounters Baron Zemo.
Tropes:
- Art Evolution: Zemo's got a new costume, and we get a look at him under the hood. He's de-aged phenomenally.
- Character Development: Remember how back in "House of Zemo" Zemo turned on his father? It pays off here. Zemo's now out to destroy every last vestige of his father's legacy, and even commits some genuinely selfless acts. Of course, he's still an entitled ass in some ways.
- Disney Villain Death: Happens to Tiger Shark twice in this episode, first getting knocked out of Chateau L'Fay via the wall, then over a cliff in the middle of an avalanche.
- Diving Save: When it looks like T'Challa's about to be crushed by a falling chandelier, Zemo shoves him out of the way.
- Gilded Cage: Zemo moans about being locked up in a room in Wakanda. As he does, the camera zooms out to show a positively gorgeous and ginormous apartment, not to mention having the Dora Milaje around to handle any requests he might have.
- Mission Control: Shuri is a little annoyed about having to be her brother's gal in the chair, even though someone has to stay behind to pilot the jet.
- Ramming Always Works: It does when you're in a Wakandan made jet, which is partly vibranium, and is up against a blimp, which are not vibranium.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: T'Challa is, not unreasonably, unwilling to trust Zemo for the duration. However, Zemo is actually entirely on the level, and not involved with the Shadow Council at all.
