Gambits collide as T'Challa must do everything he can to save Wakanda from enemies within and without.

- Chekhov's Gun: The giant bat creature from "The Night Has Wings".
- Disney Villain Death: M'Baku is last seen plummeting out of sight. His armor might protect him... but it's an awfully long way down...
- Karma Houdini Warranty: After effortlessly manipulating and plotting his way out of everything, Killmonger finally gets his behind handed to him, and is given over to the Atlanteans, who already wanted his head.
- Killed Off for Real: Hunter gets killed by Tiger Shark.
- No Body Left Behind: Bask's body immediately crumbles to dust on her death.
- Puppet King: Turns out this is what Killmonger wanted in Bask; someone who'd do what he wanted, or at least further his ambitions. The minute Bask gets qualms, he turns on her.
- Redemption Equals Death: Shuri successfully manages to talk Bask into giving up on her genocidal ambitions, and she helps remove the Crown from her giant death ray, but at the cost of killing her.
- Revenge Is Not Justice: While T'Challa is pained and furious about his adoptive brother's death, he refuses to kill Tiger Shark for this reason.
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: The Atlanteans, thanks to Bask destroying Atlantis with a giant Wave-Motion Gun.
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Klaue finally reaches breaking point with everyone and everything, storming off into the jungle. T'Challa figures he'll eventually come back, however.
- Series Fauxnale: Most of the major plot points are wrapped up, all T'Challa's enemies are defeated or driven off or dead, but there's still one more episode left...
- You Are in Command Now: With T'Challa having been deposed by Bask, Bask dubs Shuri the new Queen of Wakanda for defeating her, albeit in a more figurative fashion than the usual fighting.
