Using the Crown, T'Challa has a vision of the past involving his grandfather, T'Chanda, and a team-up with Captain America.
Tropes:
- Apple of Discord: T'Chanda is able to turn Zemo and Zola against one another by pointing out only one person can open the Box.
- Baritone of Strength: T'Chanda, as voiced by Christopher Judge, has an appropriately deep and kingly voice.
- Brain Uploading: The flashback shows the incident where Zola first uploaded his mind into a robot. Peggy then does the same to stop him, but thanks to T'Chanda's Wakanda smarts (and Peggy's flesh body remaining intact) they're able to reverse it.
- The Cameo: Stan Lee as General Phillips.
- Deliberately Monochrome: The colors in the flashback are muted.
- Disney Villain Death: Baron Zemo plunges off a cliff to his apparent demise, rather than let Steve capture him. Very on-brand for Zemo.
- Lured into a Trap: T'Chanda, Steve and Peggy go looking for Zemo and Zola. They find them, and are then subdued as Zemo reveals it was a trap meant for them. Afterward, T'Chanda grumbles about this, but Peggy points out if he'd been alone, all that would've happened is he'd have still been caught.
- Ominous Mundanity: The Box has had many names over the years, but Zola prefers to just call it "The Box", which belies the sheer destructive potential it holds.
- Screw You, Elves!: While captive, T'Chanda starts on the whole "Wakanda is better than everyone else" thing, but Peggy calls him and them out on sitting by and doing nothing to help the rest of the world while patting themselves on the back and calling themselves morally superior for it.
