Being Pretty | No Monsters | Children's Toys | Don't Feed The Freaks | Model Citizen | Friendly Shadow | Immortal Machine
First released: January 22, 2021
The Exceptional Girl discusses her origins.
Immortal Machine contains examples of:
- Canon Welding: This episode reveals that "MERRY MADNESS" takes place in the past of Autodale's world, when the magic started to die in an event called "the Withering".
- Per the creator, not the case with "Mother of Nature", with the author merely not ruling out the titular character's design being shared with a healthier Matriarch.
- A Day in the Limelight: The episode focuses on the Exceptional Girl, telling her story to the rest of Hive.
- Double-Meaning Title: The "Immortal Machine" is both the Mayor's literal machines, and Autodale itself. Eternal, self-sustaining.
- Mechanical Abomination: Twofold.
- The Mayor is revealed to be a half-dead corpse powered by coils. He doesn't even have eyes, they're replaced by glass bulbs.
- The Matriarch, as usual. However, we're introduced to her origins.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: Ever wondered how the corpses of the Uglies were disposed of? Just buried? Well, turns out they're grinded up into a bloody liquid and then used to power the Matriarch. Her painful existence in turn keeps the town running.
- Wham Episode: We finally learn the origins of Autodale and how the Exceptional Girl was indoctrinated into Hive.
