When Arthur catches Buster sucking his thumb, he has to resist the urge to tell the whole school.
Tropes:
- Bad Habits: Thumb-sucking can be a harmful habit. It can cause dental issues, like crooked teeth, bite problems, and aside from all that, you may get teased for sucking your thumb.
- Bad Future: Buster imagines his whole future will go bad, all because find out he sucks his thumb.
- Compressed Vice: Buster, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, habitually sucks his thumb. This was never an issue until this episode.
- Foreshadowing: Arthur’s parents say that they knew Buster was gonna be a thumb-sucker due to him always being too goofy and immature. At least that’s what they think.
- Innocently Insensitive: Arthur really does not tell the other people in the school that Buster sucks his thumb, even when he is questioned about it. He even gets mad at Francine and Muffy for pestering him about it. Buster, however thinks otherwise.
