Opposites Distract contains examples of:

- Locked in a Room: This happens to Arthur and Buster after Arthur accidentally breaks off the doorknob.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Barkeeping: In this episode, Arthur apparentally has a habit of cleaning his glasses. Something we all need to do now and then, but Arthur never really did this before this episode.
Just The Ticket contains examples of:
- Just One Extra Ticket: However, this episode involves Arthur having six extra tickets, which he must split between him and his 7 other friends.
- Mellow Fellow: This is what Buster is like, at least for the first half of the episode.
- The Cat Came Back: No matter what Arthur does, he’s not able to get rid of the tickets. First, he places them on a pole for someone to take but they fly off the pole and stick right to his sweater. He then puts a brick on top of them, only to go in the house and find the tickets, as Muffy’s butler Bailey dropped them off.
- Zombie Gait: Arthur is about to go to the park, but then has a sequence where all his friends have turned into zombies over the tickets.
