I Wanna Hold Your Hand contains examples of:

  • Baby Language: In the intro, D.W. talks to Arthur using baby language.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Binky yells at the viewers in the intro to this episode.
  • Bribe Backfire: Binky imagines that George will tell Molly about Binky holding his mom’s hand after Binky had bribed George with raisins.
  • Comically Missing the Point: During the scene where Binky is about to admit to the Tough Customers that he held his mom’s hand, Rattles thinks Binky is talking about him playing the clarinet in a concert and calls him Maestro. Binky then says he wasn’t talking about that.
  • Embarrassment Plot: This episode is about Binky being embarrassed about holding his mom’s hand because he’s worried other people will find out and call him a baby. But then in the end, he learns it’s completely normal and nothing to be ashamed of.
  • Kiddie Kid: D.W. pretending to be a baby in the intro to this episode.
  • Not Growing Up Sucks: Binky constantly mentions throughout the episode that he is not a baby.
  • Shout-Out: The title of this episode is likely a reference to the song “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles.

    Binky: (to Francine) What? Never seen a guy wear a tie before?!

Whistling In The Wind contains examples of:

  • "Eureka!" Moment: Timmy ends up with a loose tooth after the physical fight with Timmy. However, his loose tooth is what leads to him finally being able to whistle, which brings the Tibbles back together again.
  • Identical Twin Mistake: Tommy and Timmy are exactly the same. They look the same, act the same, have the same amount of hairs on their head, and have the same size footprint. But Tommy can whistle while Timmy can’t.
  • Just Whistle: Timmy imagines that if he could whistle, he could give Tommy a signal of breaking him out of jail if that ever happens. Unfortunately for Timmy, he can’t whistle, and Tommy is able to break himself out on his own.
  • Prison Episode: Timmy has a dream about Tommy going to prison in this episode.
  • This Cannot Be!: Timmy is shocked to hear by the Brain that because of his mouth shape, he can’t whistle, and he’s worried that Tommy will always be better at things than him because of it.
