Archer and Pam try avoiding becoming dinner, while the princess and the others reluctantly go to rescue them.

- Didn't Think This Through: Lana handed over the map to the idol to Cyril, but she did so before he could even pay her for the information, which her father criticizes her about because nothing is stopping Cyril from bailing once he takes the idol. This causes her to go for the idol before Cyril gets to it.
- Fanservice: Pam spend 50% of the episode naked, and the other 50% in a jungle bikini. Archer likewise wears a coconut thong.
- Flashed-Badge Hijack: In this case, flashed gun. But the trope is still valid, as Reynaud technically is a law enforcement officer and while Lanaluakalani is a princess, the island is a French territorial possession.
- Heel–Face Turn: The cannibals decide to hail Archer as a hero for saving the chief and several others from a gun-toting German (that they'll eat) and invite him, Pam, and Noah to a feast.
- Lots of Luggage: For their excursion into the jungle, Malory has the car loaded down with several large trunks which apparently contain many bottles of gin and vermouth.
- Refuse to Rescue the Disliked: Malory really has to be nagged into going to rescue Archer and Pam from the quicksand and the cannibals as opposed to going after the idol first, and she still complains about it incessantly, as does Princess Lanaluakalani.
- Tastes Like Chicken: Noah's arm apparently tasted like chicken, which is a big insult among the cannibals.
