Deep in space, Archer and the crew encounter a terrifying cosmic beast. When they go deeper into the maw, they encounter a self-aggrandizing life coach.
In General:
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Glenda's "life" coaching skills are meant to convince her audience to kill themselves, essentially brainwashing them.
- Double Meaning: Glenda is a humanitarian who won the Intergalactic Peace Prize, but she's also the other kind of humanitarian. It's easier to notice this after the reveal, when she mentions being a humanitarian and "serving my fellow man" in her speech at the end.
- Jerkass Has a Point: At first, Lana is appalled that not only was Archer not going to post Glenda Price final words, he didn't even record them. However, Archer argues that he did not due so due to how much of a bitch Price was.
- No Party Like a Donner Party: Glenda was forced to eat her crew members to survive after their rations ran out. It turns out she jumped straight to cannibalism and left the rations untouched.
- Senseless Sacrifice: Archer decided to sacrifice Glenda because she was insane, but he completely ignored using the extra fuel rods that Cheryl had stocked in the ship over making Glenda die. Then again, she was insane. And this is assuming he knew they were there. Cheryl being Cheryl, she could have just not told anybody.
- Skewed Priorities: The only reason Cheryl remains behind outside the cosmic beast is because her purse was in the ship.
- Those Two Girls: Invoked. Cheryl wants to flee with Malory to begin their own adventures away from the rest of the crew.
