- Fun with Homophones: When Brain explains the plan to rob Fort Knox in order to control the nation's "capitol", Pinky comments that he thought the capital was in Washington, D.C. Brain bops him with a spoon before explaining he meant "capitol" as in money.
- Hollywood Density: Once inside Fort Knox, the mice try to lift one gold ingot and are immediately Squashed Flat. Despite his genius, Brain still didn't figure "the atomic weight of gold" into his plans.
- Not So Stoic: The Brain develops huge puppy eyes when he sees the truckloads of money inside Fort Knox.
- Shout-Out: When they finally make it to Ft. Knox and see all the gold, Pinky says "This is more impressive than a DuckTales episode!"
- Tempting Fate: Once they enter Kentucky, the Brain remarks that nothing can stop them now. They then immediately get pulled over by a police officer.
- They Call Me MISTER Tibbs!: In order to pass as an “average nondescript motorist,” the Brain disguises himself and demands to be called Mr. Perkins. He has to remind Pinky to call him this numerous times throughout the episode.
