In the fourth season premiere, the Otto kids are getting older: Taylor is entering her last year of high school, and Anna-Kat has shown so much progress that she's "graduating" from the special-needs class. So Katie and Greg decide to sell their minivan. But when Taylor uses scouring powder to clean the minivan, they lament that she is 18 years old and they haven't taught her any basic life skills. So they prepare a life skills list, demanding that she check off every item on the list before the night of her senior prom, or else she won't be allowed to attend. Meanwhile, Oliver's ballet career (and ticket into Harvard) is prematurely ended when he tears his ACL, forcing him to find other ways to stand out.
