Stan invites his mother to come live with the family after Stan’s stepfather, Hercules, dies, and tensions rise when Roger is forced to share his attic with her. Tropes

  • Ambiguously Gay: Barry says that he likes the super gay script for Fast and the Furious as it is. Steve also mentions that's it normal for two men to hold hands, as he's holding hands with Snot at that moment.
  • Didn't Think This Through: You'd think by now Stan would learn that Roger isn't the type to just roll over and that he would find a way to get his attic back. Even if Roger's love for Betty was genuine, as is strongly implied, it was Stan who indirectly caused them to get back together.
  • Heroic Build: Hilariously subverted. Stan shows off a six-pack, but it's revealed he's sucking in his gut at hard he can. He encourages Francine to take a picture, but by the time she's ready, his gut deflates and turns into belly fat.
  • Manipulative Editing: Steve and his friends take the Fast and the Furious script to Hollywood after cutting out all of the gay content. However, the producer reveals that the films are shot as hardcore gay pornos, then edited down to get the right level of homoerotic subtext for theatrical release. France, however, gets the full unrated version.
  • My Beloved Smother: Inverted example as Stan is the overbearing one in his relationship with his mother. He forces her to move into his home over her objections and degrades her by telling her she's too old to date again. It drives her to commit murder in order to collect insurance money and move away from Stan. Move away to Paris.
  • Noodle Incident: Upon finding the script for Fast and the Furious 7 at the site of a horrific plane crash, Snot tells Steve that this is the best bike ride they've been on where they didn't see homeless people having sex.
  • Oh, Crap!: Stan attempts to jump a canyon, only to choke at the last second and falls in.
  • Put on a Bus: The last episode in which Betty plays a major part. She either appears hereafter in flashbacks or in gimmick episodes like "Blood Crieth Unto Heaven." The episode ends with her moving to France.
  • The Reveal: Roger actually wasn't trying to kill Betty in Niagara Falls and his love towards her was genuine; it was Betty who wanted to kill Roger so she could gain independence.
  • Take That!: Betty tells Stan that it's unnecessary for her to live with him. He then describes things that are really unnecessary, such as the Golden Globes, Chelsea Handler's career, and Tucson, Arizona.
Announcer: Congratulations, Tucson! You've been Dadded! (a hand stamps "Dadded!" over a picture of the Tucson skyline) Nobody's safe!
