Hayley and Jeff decide to elope, prompting Stan to issue a bounty to stop it.

Tropes:

  • Batman Gambit: Jeff goes to the Smiths and says he'll break up with Hayley in exchange for the $50,000. Instead, he takes it and marries Hayley anyway. Even Stan is impressed by this.
  • Bowdlerise: The broadcast version blurs out Principal Lewis's middle finger gestures and a couple girls' breasts, and it bleeps out the words "fuck" and "shit" as well as the entire phrase "wiped Hayley's excitement all over them." The one exception was Lewis's use of "motherfucker", which was replaced with laughter from him.
  • Call-Back: When Reginald says he's going to win back Hayley, Bullock mentions his brief affair with her in "Bullocks to Stan."
  • Characters Dropping Like Flies: The episode opens with an announcer declaring that 100 characters will die, and sure enough, 100 characters do. This includes Brett (Stan's Satanic best friend), Coco (Bullock's Asian mistress), Beauregard LaFontaine, Katie and Casey (two members of the Ladybugs), Shawn Kirkoff (the man who raced Stan for a DeLorean door), Ted Feedler, Clifford the Knight, Matty Moyer, Gertie, and Bobby the Bullet.
  • Combat Pragmatist: After driving out to fight in a field over Hayley, Reginald begins doing capoeira before Bullock just kicks him.
  • Don't Tell Mama: Bullock says something so utterly obscene about what he did with Hayley, it leaves Reginald appalled.
Reginald: You have a mother, and you just said all that. I'm gonna call her and tell her what you said.
Bullock (too weak to stop him): Don't!
  • Driven to Suicide: It looks like Hayley did this in response to Jeff dumping her for the money, but it was the hotel manager instead.
  • Hating on Monday: Referenced when Roger trips out on amphetamines and hallucinates Klaus as Garfield.
Roger: Shut up, Garfield! Why do you hate Mondays, you don't even work!
  • Imagine Spot: Stan tries to turn back time after finding that Hayley and Jeff are getting married, only to find that he banged his head on the table and passed out.
  • Nipple and Dimed: Jessica and Tracy (the two Spring Break girls from Spring Break-Up) flash their breasts. The broadcast version blurs out their breasts, but in the DVD release, their breasts are shown uncensored.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: We don't see whatever it was Jeff said that convinced Hayley to marry him, but it was apparently truly amazing.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Roger appears in the opening to say that "tonight we find out who shot Mr. Burns," only to learn that Maggie was revealed as the shooter fifteen years earlier.
    • After reading Hayley's note that she's going to marry Jeff, Stan attempts to turn back time like the ending to Superman: The Movie.
    • When Hayley and Jeff elope, a news report shows an artist's rendering of them, and it's a picture of Velma and Shaggy.
      Jeff: Zoinks!
    • At the end of the episode, Jeff's van transforms into the car from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, accompanied by the main theme.
  • Storefront Television Display: Stan announces live on the news that he is offering $50,000 to anyone who can stop the marriage between his daughter Hayley and Jeff Fischer. Multiple characters of Langley Falls are viewing this broadcast, one of them being a homeless man watching a storefront's television screens.
  • Too Dumb to Live: The bus driver puts the bus in reverse and drives off a cliff, killing himself and the other 97 passengers.
  • Too Much Information: Bullock volunteers a little too much when he describes his brief fling with Hayley to Reginald.
Bullock: Reginald, are we at the CIA yet?
Reginald: Change of plans. I'm going after the woman of my dreams: Hayley Smith.
Bullock: Hayley Smith? Oh ho, I had a thing with her one summer.
Reginald: What? You and Hayley had a thing?
Bullock: Hahaha, a thing? That's a polite way of saying I tapped her like a pony keg. Banged her around so much I lost my deposit.
Reginald: Sir, I would appreciate it if you could refrain from any sexual reminiscing regarding Hayley whilst we take our little detour.
Bullock: Ah, I took a detour on Hayley. Got lost in the brush and went down a dirt road. Hehehehe.
(Reginald activates a turn signal and pulls over)
Bullock: What's all this now? Why are we stopping?
Reginald: You and I are gonna fight in the field.
  • Wham Episode: Hayley and Jeff get married.
  • Writers Cannot Do Math: The bus crash is supposed to account for 96* of the promised 100 deaths. However, there is no way to fit that many people on it, unless they also counted the poor people on the freeway the bus landed on.
