Here she decides to spend her vacation working on her writing and falls for Sage partially because he bears a strong resemblance to the love interest in her stories.
- Distracted by the Sexy: Even after Clover realizes she hates Sage's personality, she still gets distracted by his body.
- Gilligan Cut: Sage wonders whether Clover's friends are missing her, the next scene shows Xixi and Mort enjoying themselves at the beach, unaware that she's even gone. When we cut back to Clover and Sage, Clover says that they probably don't' even miss her.
