Spencer spends several weeks at J.J.'s beach house alongside Jordan and Asher before college officially begins, and thinks whether to accept one of two football sponsorships with vastly different perks: a lavish benefactor that requires him to serve as a brand ambassador for an energy drink, and a spartan gym with a simple but thoughtful message. Meanwhile, Layla receives a set of records containing her mother's songs from J.P., Coop and Patience are scammed into renting an apartment and decide to seek Olivia's help, and Laura tries to reconcile Billy with Willie.
