Tropes:

  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends before the king responds to Alfred's demands.
  • The Ghost: The ministers talk about twelve minsiters untangling the king's beard, but only ten ministers are shown in the full group shot, raising the question of where are the remaining two. Alfred also talks about the twelve ministers later, but there still are only ten.
  • The Monkey's voice acting as he chokes on the beard isn't that believable in the finnish dub.
  • Animal Species Accent: In at least the finnish dub, the parrot minister has a parrot-like accent and also wordlessly caws once.
  • The last minutes involving Alfred infiltrating the palace, the king's beard tangles, and the ministers feel like they're from some surreal fairytale.
  • Villain Has a Point: The door guards have a point, you can't just randomly show up and think the entire government is available or willing to meet you right now.
  • The boar guard suddendly looks completely different in a close-up.
  • In at least the finnish dub, Von Paljas speaks in a very casual and calm way while crashing down the stairs after the guards shoved Alfred into him. He's calling them rude but his voice sounds calm and like he isn't in pain or even surprised.
  • Background Halo: In the scene where Alfred stands on the laboratory table, just before he starts playing and few seconds after he has started, a shot shows him standing in such a way that one of the circular lights is right behind his head, creating the appearance of a halo.
  • Despite propably having been told the Mozons virus is an alien attack (or in the very least already knowing it came from space) and dr. Parses telling him there's no way to protect against infection, Von Paljas claims the whole disease was caused by the southeners' bad living conditions only.
  • Protagonist-Centered Morality: People are dying from the Mozons virus, but Von Paljas wants to blackmail the king to fix economic inequality before Alfred saves anybody.
  • Got Volunteered: There's no danger, but when the clown asks which of them wants to learn to play the magic tune on the magic violin, Henk immediately volunteers Alfred.
  • Ambiguous Gender: The clown in the finnish dub has an ambiguous voice, and the language's complete lack of grammatical gender or gendered pronouns doesn't help. The finnish dub has also gender-flipped minor characters before.
  • Acoustic License: The communication between Alfred and Henk can be explained by radio, but they shouldn't be able to hear the clown's music.
  • Alfred, Von Paljas, and everybody else just assumes the music will work over the radio, or that the radios will reach every single person in the south who has the Mozons, and wherever it originally jumped into people.
  • Batman Can Breathe in Space: The clown, apparently.
  • Magic Music: The music from the clown's violin.
  • What's the deal with the clown? How does gravity not affect him, how can he breathe in space, where and how exactly does he live, why he propably need no sustenance, where did the violin come from, how did the clown get on the moon and why is he there?
  • Space Whale Aesop: The virus being an alien attack (by the virus itself, no less), the clown on the moon, and the clown's magic fiddle that can literally make every single Mozons virus dissappear, feel like they cheapen and confuse the serious premise.
  • Alfred and Henk use a toaster, a coffee pot, a sugar cup, and a normal butter package and drink from cups in a gravity-less space. There are also lots of other objects and foodstuffs floating around. The coffee goes into the cup semi-normally.
  • Von Paljas is in the experimentation room with the sample without proper protection, puts it on for the radiating experiment, and immediately takes it off after that while still in the presence of the sample.
  • Carnivore Confusion: Technically not, but when Alfred and Henk are eating in the windmill two fried pan-cooked eggs can be seen floating around. Alfred is a bird.
  • While wearing his space suit Henk has his hat on outside his helmet. It's attached to the suit with a cord, somehow stying on top of the helmet.
  • Alfred's spacesuit's zipper seems to be on his back or something, while Henk's zipper appears to be on the front.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Alfred says he and Henk need to believe in the clown on the moon because a seer, Biljel, was so sure of his story.
  • Fishbowl Helmet: Henk's and Alfred's spacesuit helmets.
