The "stalker" that has searching everywhere for Retsuko reveals himself to be a politician representing the House of Rage. With the political climate change on the horizon, he asks Retsuko a pressing offer: use her rage to influence the people and run for the final seat in the House of Representatives.
Tropes:
- An Offer You Can't Refuse: It takes a kidnapping by Retsuko's old idol mates to convince her to finally take up on Ikari's offer to run, as her Death Metal persona has a major influence on the people, both fans and non-fans alike.
- The Cameo: Shikabane reappears in the internet cafe, suffering a Vertigo Effect like Haida as she walks through, albeit quietly.
- Downer Beginning: Haida suffers a Heroic BSoD, still in shock how his brother Jiro treated him last episode. He remains in this state all day, much to Retsuko's annoyance. He snaps back when Retsuko's calls him later that someone suspicious is following her.
- Memetic Mutation: In-Universe. Ikari had suffered what looked like an aneurysm during a past heated debate. It resulted in him becoming somewhat of an internet joke.
