- The giant guarding the emerald was a little boy who, tired of being bullied, used it to wish himself to be bigger. It made everyone afraid of being near him so he lived in isolation ever since.
- Cavin, in spite of wanting to be bigger, already believed being a giant was too much and, upon learning the giant's backstory, wishes he was back to normal size, making Cavin the only careful wisher in the story.
- Cubbi wishes for the boulder blocking the way out of the cave to fly away. The flying boulder causes a cave-in.
- Lonely at the Top: The boy who became a giant by wishing upon the emerald had to live in isolation because everyone was afraid of him.
- Shout-Out: This episode's title is a reference to the song, "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio.
