The third arc of A Certain Scientific Railgun, consisting of episodes 17-24 of the anime. This arc is not in the manga.
- Big Damn Heroes: Kongou shows up to save Mikasa after she is defeated by Therestina.
- Mind over Matter: The "Poltergeist" incidents, but not quite in the way people expected.
- Obviously Evil: Therestina. She's blatantly a bad guy, even if you ignore the opening that shows her as an Evil Overlooker. The fact that she's a Kihara, though, caught everyone off guard.
- Spanner in the Works: Saten is completely dismissed as a threat; it's not clear if it's because Therestina thinks non-espers aren't a threat, or if she just thought Saten was an esper and would be neutralized by Capacity Down. Either way, she didn't expect her to take a baseball bat to the controls.
