- Justified: Due to the production team operating on a limited budget, it's much cheaper to use video cameras for studio shots and cheap, portable film cameras for location shots, as opposed to just shooting everything on film.

- Enforced:
- The video cameras are really heavy, so they have to use film for outdoor shots.
- The work is made using the techniques of the 1950/60s.
- Defied: The studio decides to not buy film for this series.
- Deconstructed: The production company wipes the master tapes to make room for new tapings, meaning that unless the entire episode is set outdoors, half the episode is missing.
- Reconstructed: Before the wiping, they sold copies to international stations, so fans were able to salvage the footage from those episodes to bring back the indoor scenes.
