Basic Trope: The staff is unusually small for a school.

  • Straight: Tropeville High's staff consists of only three teachers, Principal Atchison, Mr. Brown, and Coach Carter.
  • Exaggerated: Mr. Brown is the only teacher working at Tropeville High, and he not only serves as the standard teacher for our main characters, but also the principal, P.E. coach, hall monitor, janitor, etc.
  • Downplayed: We see other staff members in the background, but only Mr. Brown is focused on.
  • Justified:
  • Inverted: There are more teachers in the school than there are students.
  • Subverted:
    • Mr. Brown appears to be the only teacher at Tropeville High, until later other teachers are focused on as well.
    • It's summer school, this should be enough faculty for the few students that need the extra education.
  • Double Subverted: They turn out to be the Big Bad and his Psycho Rangers impersonating teachers, just to get close to Bob.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig-Zagged: ???
  • Averted: The school has a reasonably sized staff that each get equal focus in the story.
  • Enforced: The writers didn't want the hassle of writing multiple adult characters, and wanted to focus more on the Kid Hero main characters.
  • Lampshaded: "Gee, Mr. Brown, sure must be stressful teaching math, science, English, and history all at once."
  • Invoked: Principal Atchinson purposely hired less teachers.
  • Exploited: Roaming the hallways freely is a lot easier for the main characters since the school is so understaffed.
  • Defied: Principal Atchinson hired more teachers so her school wouldn't be understaffed.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: "You ever notice how we have Mr. Brown for like...every class? That seems stressful for him."
