- Straight: Alice is normally skinny. One episode focuses on her being fat and the other characters reacting to the results. She returns to normal for the next episode as if nothing happened.
- Exaggerated:
- Every main character, including Alice, is overweight for the duration of an episode.
- An entire season is focused on Alice being fat and her attempts to shed the excess poundage.
- Downplayed: Alice puts on a realistic amount of weight since the last episode and is seen working it off until she's back to normal.
- Justified: Alice is a recurring character, and her weight gain is the result of a lapse in her lifestyle.
- Inverted: Alice is canonically overweight. In one episode, she becomes skinny thanks to a successful diet. Unfortunately, the next episode shows that she put all the weight she lost back on.
