- Parodied: Alice and Bob's introductory scene is set up to look like they're son and mother respectively, with Alice scolding Bob for whatever reason. Then Bob groans "That is no way to talk to your father, young lady", which Alices responds in a whiney teen way "I'm old enough, dad!"
- Zig-Zagged: Alice is a deeply irresponsible time traveler, so at any given point in time there are multiple versions of her hanging around at varying ages.
