Basic Trope: Someone utters any variation of "This is the stupidest thing I heard" in regards to hearing an inane statement or plan.
- Played Straight: When Alice suggests a Zany Scheme, Bob replies "That is the stupidest thing I ever heard."
- Exaggerated: "That is so inconceivably stupid I'm genuinely impressed that you even managed to come up with it without skipping a beat. And you're not even one to strike me as the kind of person who'd even come close to suggesting the complete nonsense that just crawled out of your mouth."
- Subverted: Bob replies "That is the stupidest thing I ever heard.", but then follows up with "Let's do it!"

- Bob immediately follows it up by saying something even more nonsensical.
