Basic Trope: Two or more characters say the same thing synchronized.

  • Straight: Alice and Bob both say the same things at the same time.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Not only do Alice and Bob both say the exact same things, but they mimic their body movement too.
    • A room full of a hundred people are all saying the same thing.
    • Everything on the planet and beyond say "We are at peace." Over and over and over...
  • Downplayed: Bob just finishes Alice's sentences.
  • Justified:
    • Alice and Bob are praying together.
    • That's how they've been trained
    Sgt. Roughhouse: "ANY QUESTIONS?"
    Trainees: "Sir! No, Sir!"
    Sgt. Roughhouse: "COMPANY DISMISSED!"
  • Inverted: ???
  • Subverted: Alice and Bob both start speaking in unison, but Alice gets de-synced...
  • Double Subverted: ...until they eventually get back in sync.
  • Parodied: Alice and Bob both say the same thing, but Bob replaces some of Alice's words with synonyms.
  • Zig-Zagged: They repeatedly get synced and unsynced when talking at the same time.
  • Averted: Alice and Bob don't say the same thing(s).
  • Enforced: Alice and Bob are both under a Hive Mind.
  • Lampshaded: "Is it weird that they are both saying the exact same things?"
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: Alice decides she wants to stop saying everything Bob says at the same time.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
