Basic Trope: The color pink represents eroticism and scenes of a sexual nature.

  • Straight:
    • Alice and Bob have sex and the act is accompanied by the color pink.
    • Pink is associated with sexual violence.
    • While Alice and Bob don't have sex in the view of the audience, the use of pink is a clear enough indicator that the two were going to have sex or it shows they have just had it.
    • Feelings of lust and desire are represented by the color pink. Similarly, feelings of embarrassment around sex are also represented by the color pink.
    • Sex magic and aphrodisiac substances are presented in pink.
    • Pink is associated with lustful and sensual characters.
    • The use of pink is used to indicate voyeurism, implying the scene is more intimate or perverted.
  • Exaggerated: Pink is used for blatant and exaggerated Freudian imagery and symbolism.
  • Downplayed:
    • Pink Is Love
    • Even though the story does not contain sexual content, pink is worn by perverts, pleasure-seekers, promiscuous characters, and sexualized characters.
    • Although there was no sexual content shown in the story, pink is used to represent her feelings of embarrassment. The color pink also represents her flustered reaction to off-screen nudity.
  • Justified: The adult entertainment company Alice works for uses pink as their color scheme and interior decoration.
  • Inverted: Pink is associated with innocent, even childlike, cuteness and is therefore profoundly unsexy. Purple, on the other hand...
  • Subverted:
    • Alice is just a fan of the color and she carries an unfair reputation of being a slut because of how she dresses.
    • Alice has to use sex appeal to pander to the male demographic and she uses pink as an aesthetic for these acts.
    • Alice tries to seduce Bob while wearing pink but he's either oblivious or disinterested.
    • Alice is embarrassed around the topic of sex and the color pink was just used to indicate and reflect her feelings of embarrassment.
  • Averted: There's no relation between pink and the act of sex.
  • Invoked:
    • The adult entertainment industry uses the color pink as part of its color scheme and interior decoration.
    • Alice wants to surprise Bob and she does so by wearing pink lingerie.
    • Bob's weapons have a pink design and are given phallic connotations.
    • Pelvic thrusts and erotic dances are performed with pink lighting.
    • Due to censorship reasons, Bob can't actually use any words that are related to sex and has to use pink as a euphemism for sex.
  • Exploited:
    • Alice knows that Bob's favourite color is pink and she dresses in pink lingerie so she can seduce him. Either leading to an affair between Alice and Bob or Sexual Extortion.
    • Alice is fully aware that her online male demographic sees her as a sex object and she profits off of it by presenting herself online as a seductive and frivolous person who associates herself with pink.
  • Defied:
  • Implied:
