Basic Trope: Species that need environments that are considered extreme

• Straight:
  • Chernobylians survivie with 250 Mili Sieverts ^note  100 Milli Sieverts are enough to cause cancer in the long term
  • Acuans survive with 320 grames of salt per litre of wáter ^note  in the Black Sea, the concentration is 340 grams of salt per liter of water
  • Hydrochlorians survives with a pH of 4 in the water ^note  For acid rain to be considered as such, it must have a minimum Ph of 5 .
• Exaggerated: Earth is the only life-supporting planet where what we consider normal life can be found.
• Downplayed: species can survive in these environments, but it is not necessary for their survival
• Justified: Those species have evolved in environments this extreme.
• Parodied: aliens need to constantly listen to death metal to survive.
• Lampshaded: "my planet's environment is radioactive enough to give you cancer".
• Averted: All Planets Are Earth-Like
• Implied: When aquarium life support is maintained, it is shown to have a salinity of 320 grams of salt per liter of water.
• Enforced: The creator likes Speculative Biology.
