Basic Trope: Working with a heroic character rubs off positively on a less scrupulous character.

• Straight: Jerkass rival Lance learns to be more selfless after accompanying Hiro.

  • Emperor Evulz goes from a Complete Monster to an All-Loving Hero after a day with Hiro.
• Downplayed: Lance goes from a Jerkass to a Jerk with a Heart of Gold after spending a long time with Hiro.
• Justified: Hiro is The Paragon.
  • After spending some time with Hiro, Lance realized that Good Feels Good.

• Subverted: After spending time with Hiro, Lance appeared to have become more selfless. However, he turns out to be a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing.

• Double Subverted: After spending time with Hiro, Lance appeared to have become more selfless. However, he turns out to be a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing. But then it's revealed that he was faking that too, or ends up Becoming the Mask without realizing it.

• Reconstructed: Hiro had a tendency to be an Extreme Doormat and put Honor Before Reason, so exposure to Lance's rougher approach was actually good for him. Meanwhile, Lance has in fact subtly took on some of Hiro's better traits.
