Pantheon / GUAE Twisted Tormentors

Go To

The presence of this very subdivision is known to already bring shivers to the spines of mortals and even weak-willed deities, being home to some of the utmost depraved menaces and villains the Pantheon has to offer. A highly selfish and pleasure-seeking group they are, the Twisted Tormentors are always seeking to advance their craft in torture, terror, and trauma, for making others suffer in the most horrific ways possible is their odious way of life. Letting no one get in the way of their enjoyment of others' suffering, filling the Pantheon with the most dreary and nightmarish atmosphere of despair and madness would be their wildest dream, but residing within the GUAE's domains to perfect their ways is for the time being acceptable for them, especially when they are occupied with their conflicts against many a Hope Bringer and others who oppose the very pain they inflict upon others.

The Alternatesnote Members , Unholy Terrors of Analog Horror

  • Rank: Overdeities as a whole, intermediate individually, with the exception of "Gabriel" who's from Greater God to Overdeity and Stanley who is a Lesser God.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Symbol: Their "true face", a pitch black featureless head, with two eyes contrasting the whole body.
  • Reason for joining: It's simply more advantageous for "Gabriel", the leader of the Alternates to have a whole group of people "backing" him up. Since he no longer is purely focused on destroying God's message, all he wants to do is wreak pain and terror while staying firmly at the top, unbeatable. The GUAE's plans generally align with his, or are at least enjoyable. He's also serving someone who's basically an alternate (pun intended) of himself, Melkor, evil personified. He's generally agreeable due to that, and when he doesn't really like the plans, he can simply stop cooperating and let all hell loose with his hive of Alternates who follow him blindly. He enjoys the position of being valuable not only because of what he can do and cause, but also how much of a pain he can be if kicked out.
  • Cooperation Ability: Despite his aforementioned agreeableness, he can be an absolute headache if he doesn't like what he's told to do. He'll wreck the place with his children until the plans are altered. This has resulted in many fellow alliance members leaving him out in fear he won't like what they're cooking up, or try to overly appease him just to gain access to powerful support, even if it ultimately hinders them. Since few can stand up to him due to him and his Alternates' inherent nature of making almost everyone go insane upon seeing them, he only tends to cooperate by inserting himself into plans forcefully or being commanded by someone who is higher than him in power. Most members dislike him more than they usually dislike others, making his and the Alternates he rules over overall cooperation ability: horrid.
  • Role: As some sort of "hitmen", sneaking into temples and meetings to drive a specific target(s) suicidally mad. Usually one Alternate is sent for the job, rarely do Alternates group together to complete a single task. They are chosen for this role because of their ability to shapeshift to look like anyone, allowing them to get past detection. Even if they're caught, one look at their true form usually makes a person insane. The kind of madness they cause is important too. It's good for ruining a message, making the one who's supposed to send it out accidentally change it yet not notice through their insanity or to cause general disorder, making an important person behave inappropriately. It's also a good way of getting people out of the way, since MAD (the mental illness/kind of madness Alternates give) usually makes the inflicted commit suicide. They also tend to keep their targets occupied, stretching out the torture and maddening process for quite a bit until they get tired of it or if prolonging it would be harmful to plans.
